Holiday season is approaching ! What does it means to take a break ?
A vacation should be a time when we regenerate and collect new energy to invest in our daily life.
It is also a time for doing something different : resting on the beach, trekking up mountains, party on beautiful islands 🙂
It can also be a time to know our self better and get stronger in who we are.
Why do we want to expand our breathing?
You may have notice that, as many other practitioners and coaches do, I always emphasise on the importance of breathing.
The breathing is a direct bridge to our ability to perceiving more of the changes appearing inside us and in our surrounding. When we limit our breathing, our perception’s ability is also reduced. When we breath bigger and deeper, our perception becomes also bigger and deeper.
Although it is quite clear to everyone why we need to breathe, it is not always evident why it is important to expanding our breathing and deepening our respiration. Sometimes this is very uncomfortable: it takes more time and slows us down. On the other hand, it allows us to feel more of what is happening in our body!
Skin and stress
To continue from my previous article Touch, the most ancient sense I will focus today on why physical touch is so beneficial and good for us.
Actually the questions are:
- why has touch an impact on reducing our level of stress?
- why does touch increase our sense of well being?
Touch, the most ancient sense
Some time ago, I read an article about a new job: the professional cuddler. This professional figure offers a very peculiar service: for a predefined time, they will give a non sexual touch to their clients. They will “just” cuddle!
This service is now spreading in the USA. The article* also mentioned some research proving that cuddling decreases stress and increases the sensation of well being, softness and affection.
Learning from stressful situation
My new year started in a very positive way: again, I past my supervision for the 4th time. Every year the level of each practitioner is tested towards the standards of the International Association Grinberg Method Practitioners.
I’m also very happy, because this experience taught me about my reaction to stress.[Read more]
Silence & Creativity – How to create an inner space to concretise our wishes
Quietness allows us to think about our passions and the steps that are necessary to support our intentions … and being more creative!
We tend to procrastinate what is important for us: our health, our heart, our mind, our joy of living… because we get busy with “the stuff we have to do “. It follows that we are too tired to take care of what we would like to realise for ourselves.
On the 4 meetings, through simple exercise (breathing, movement, writing), we train our attention and mobilise our energy in order to take the necessary steps in the direction you want to advance in.
We focus on the process of realising a personal project and the group will support us with its energy and without judgement.
Join us in this journey combing doing and passivity !
