Learn to cope with your anxiety

In the book ‚The Myth of Normality‘ by Gabor Maté, this fantastic author describes the deleterious effects of stressors on our health. He mentions as main stressors – beside the tragic consequences of big but also small traumas – uncertainty, conflicts, lack of control, lack of information.
These stressors bring our systems to be too over-activated, creating too much agitation, tensions and many chronic conditions.

One of them is chronic anxiety that can lead to panic attack.  

Even if many of these stressors are external and our room for manoeuvre may be quite limited, we can still try to gain more awareness, and with this more control, so to protect ourselves from them. We can contrast them by building a practice that will help us to create calmness, to reconnect with ourself and to take distance from the outside inputs.

In order to offer a place where you can build such a practice, I am happy to announce that I will lead a 5 meetings group aimed to teach you practical tools to control, reduce and stop anxiety and panic attacks.

The 5 meetings will take place on 30th September, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th October. From 19h15 to 20h15 at my praxis. Number of participants: max 4-5 persons.
Cost of the 5 meetings: fr. 150.-.

During the 5 meetings, we will focus on :

  • practicing breathing exercises,
  • gaining a better understand of the anxiety mechanism,
  • reinforcing coping mechanism.

By learning to better cope with your anxiety, you will also increase your resilience and ability to face difficulties in general.
Least but not last, by getting more at ease with uncomfortable feelings, you will experience more positive feelings too.
